Questions

Where should I stay?

We would recommend staying in the Kaanapali Resort area. Dinner following the ceremony will be here, and there are a variety of accommodations in the area, including:

What should I wear?

For the ceremony and dinner, dress is going to be a more casual cocktail attire, with Hawaiian styles recommended.

How do I get to Maui?

The main airport on Maui is Kahului Airport (OGG). It has several flights from the mainland, but if your flight goes to Honolulu (HNL) on Oahu, you can connect inter-island using Hawaiian Airlines or Mokulele Airlines.

Should I rent a car?

Yes! We encourage you to rent a car and explore all that Maui has to offer. Maui is quite a large island, and it may take over an hour to get to various places from the Kaanapali area. Historic Lahaina is an exception, which is about 15 minutes away. We recommend booking your car as soon as you can.

Do I need a Jeep?

On Maui, it is not necessary to rent a Jeep. A car will be able to get you around on any roads you should be on. The same is true for Oahu and Kauai. On the Big Island, if you want to go all the way up to the summit of Mauna Kea, that does require a vehicle with Low Range 4-Wheel Drive, such as a Jeep Wrangler. However, a regular car will get you to the Visitor Center on Mauna Kea, which still has magnificent views of the night sky.

Should I visit other islands?

Yes, you’ve come all this way, you should definitely experience all that Hawaii has to offer! Each of the islands offers a unique set of landscapes and activities from volcanoes, beaches, and jungles, to historical sites and movie set locations! Find a few of our favorite places on each island on the ”Destination: Hawaii” page.
